{"id":10652,"date":"2020-06-23T20:58:22","date_gmt":"2020-06-23T17:58:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/10.1.1.166\/?page_id=10652"},"modified":"2020-06-27T10:09:19","modified_gmt":"2020-06-27T07:09:19","slug":"graduate-diploma-theses","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/dib.uth.gr\/?page_id=10652&lang=en","title":{"rendered":"GRADUATE\/DIPLOMA THESES"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The General Assembly\nof the Department, every year, appoints a committee, consisting of Faculty Members\nof the Department, which is responsible for the overall coordination of the\nTheses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For the academic year\n2019-20, according to a decision of the 32nd \/ 12-09-2019 General Assembly of\nthe Department, the coordinating committee of graduate theses consists of Dr Loukopoulos\nAthanasios, Dr Braliou Georgia and Dr Markou Evripidis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The coordinating\ncommittee, in collaboration with the Secretariat of the Department, &nbsp;in three time periods of each academic year,\ngathers from the Theses Supervisors the titles of the Graduate Theses, that\nhave been completed as well as their respective three-member examination committees.\nThe exact dates, venue and duration for the presentation and examination of the\nTheses are announced. Usually, these dates are set in the beginning of each\nacademic semester, in October and February, but also in June.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The teaching staff,\nFaculty Members, university scholarship holders with a doctoral degree, P.D.\n407\/80 contract instructors, academic experience instructors and members of the\nLaboratory Teaching staff&nbsp; propose&nbsp; topics to the relevant committee (title,\nsummary of the topic, prerequisite courses, etc.) at the beginning of each\nacademic semester, until the first week of the course selection statement\nprocedure. The Coordinating Committee, in collaboration with the teaching staff,\nannounces the topics on offer through the Secretariat of the Department until\nthe second week of course selection statement procedure, in order for the students\nto be informed on time about their application submission in the respective\nperiods.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Students who are in\nthe 7th or 8th semester and have successfully completed at least 28 courses\nuntil the submission of their application to the Secretariat of the Department\nhave the right to apply for a Diploma Thesis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The thesis corresponds\nto 20 (twenty) credit units (ECTS).
