The content of the Undergraduate Studies Program of the Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics has as its core the courses of Informatics, Biology, Biochemistry and Bioinformatics. The study program is completed in eight (8) semesters which include courses, workshops, laboratories, assignments, and tutorials. The courses are divided into required courses, and elective courses. The program also includes free courses in general knowledge and humanities, as well as English terminology courses.
The weekly curriculum includes lectures, tutorials and laboratory exercises. Building facilities include comfortable classrooms equipped with state-of-the-art surveillance equipment, computer labs that provide advanced telematics services and support students’ educational activities in the most modern way.
Upon completion of their studies, the graduates of the Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics are equipped with the required knowledge, skills and abilities, which will ensure their scientific and professional recognition and development in the rapidly growing field of Informatics, and specialized in the utilization of Information Systems in the field of Medical Technology and Biology, information and data in Health Records and Services, as well as in the fields of Biomedical Informatics and Bioinformatics.
