Curriculum vitae

Thanasis Loukopoulos received his Diploma in Computer Engineering and Informatics from the University of Patras, Greece, in 1997. He was awarded a PhD degree in Computer Science by the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST) in 2002. In 2013 he joined the University of Thessaly. He has published 40 papers in the general area of parallel and distributed systems and had the best paper award in ICPP 2001. His current research interests include: green computing, resource management and scheduling problems in distributed systems with emphasis in cloud and wireless sensor environments.
