The qualifying examinations in the Department of Computer Science and Biomedical informatics are carried out according to the ministerial decision No. Φ.1 / 192329 / Β3 (Government Gazette: 3185-τ.Β ’/ 16-12-2013).
The application and the supporting documents of the graduates who wish to be placed in the Department are submitted to the Secretariat of the Department from 1 to 15 November of each academic year. The qualifying exams are held during the period from 1 to 20 December of each academic year. The examination program of the courses is announced to the Secretariat and to the website of the Department at least ten (10) days before the beginning of the first examined course. The results are posted by the Examinations Committee on the Department’s website.
The supporting documents are as follows:
a) Application
b) Copy of degree or certificate of completion of studies. In case of foreign graduates, a certificate of equivalence of their degree is submitted by the Interdisciplinary Organization for the Recognition of Academic and Information Titles (DOATAP) or by a similar institution.
c) Copy of an identity card (ID).
The 7th / 30-04-2014 decision of the Board of Deanery of the Faculty of Science of the University of Thessaly sets that the duration of the examination of each course should be two (2) hours, and the examined courses should be the following three (3):
Introduction to Programming
Mathematical Analysis I.
Physics
